Intense ruby red colour with garnet glints. Clear and bright with a presence of tears when you swirl in the glass. Clean and open with high aromatic intensity. Dark fruit (blackcurrants, plums, blackberries) predominating, with liquorice, fresh herbs and oak. Its time in the cask has provided fine oak, piquant spices and cocoa. Long and intense with balanced acidity. A presence of fine, polished tannins. The retronasal phase recalls the aromas detected on the nose.
