Malton has been making a name for itself as a food town built around its famous local produce, award-winning monthly Food Markets, annual Food Lovers Festival, and some of the best food shops in Yorkshire.

The TransPennine rail links offer visitors the opportunity to enjoy the town’s shops, eateries and local attractions without the need for a car.  Thanks to those rail links this North Yorkshire market town is also handy to get to, at just under an hour from Leeds and 2 hours from Manchester Piccadilly.

Malton itself is a compact historical market town with a fantastic array of independent shops and artisan food producers within a 10 walk from the station. The Coastliner bus station is also opposite the station offering onward connections to Castle Howard, Flamingo Land, Eden Camp, Pickering, Goathland and the coast.
